It might be this.

It seems there were some famous persons whose kamon was Kenbishi.

Have you tried searching names of people who were in your family, through websites such as ancestry.com or familysearch.org? That might be a quicker way to find your roots rather than to learn the construction of the Shiho-ken-hanabishi crest.

@Uco I have tried but the problem is that the family records are in Japan so its difficult for me to chase them down.

@biwakoman Thank you for linking some crest that are def similar I think i might use this as a template and reconstruct the crest a bit ( ken sword is larger ) I just hope I dont botch it .. I want to be able to use this crest in my brothers wedding that is coming up.

Could anyone translate the characters below? or know of the meaning so I can rewrite it? i was hoping that would lead me on a good chase to find out who that person is and why they relate to my family.. I heard from my aunt a long time ago that it was someone very important to us

Which characters? We don't see them.

If you meant the 3 characters shown below the crest in the photo you initially posted, it simply says "Karasawa family" in the most modern font. I assumed the photo is a part of a T shirt or something that someone recently had had printed for your family as a souvenir.

By the way, you are free to contact the municipal or library of the place your ancestor first departed from in Japan. I found out a lot about my ancestor by doing so, although I wrote in Japanese.
