White (non rice) porridge? 2018/6/12 18:51
I visited a Japanese café inside Ueno station a few days ago. They offered breakfast and as I did not want the raw egg I was given a white kind of porridge (not rice) instead.

I don't know what it is but I have seen it in Japanese movies before so I suppose it is something Japanese.

Sorry I could not give any better description, but maybe you recognize it?

Indeed, sounds like grated yams, pretty good!
I do eat the raw eggs on rice for breakfast if I have the chance. :-)
