Osaka one day 2018/6/17 06:37
Please delete if this is too long. For our day in Osaka, does this look viable? We are in Namba. Do we have too many towers, if so which should I cut out please?
1. Osaka Castle (although we have been told it is not worth going in as its not the original).
2. Hep five Ferris wheel.
3. Umeda Sky building.
4. Shinsaibashi.
5.Sumiyoshi Taisha
6.Shitennoji Temple.
7. Tsutenkaku tower.
8. Abeno Harukas.
:)Any advice is truly grateful. :)

I'd say you're biting off more than you can chew.

It may not take a lot of time to see some of the places, but it will entail a lot of running around getting from one to another.
Not all the towers are redundant - the views from the Umeda Sky Bldg and Abeno Harukas for example, are quite different. But if you pick those, there is little sense in adding in the Tsutenkaku Tower as well, which is inferior in most respects.

You are correct about Osaka castle. Not only it is a reconstruction, but it's essentially a ferro-concrete blockish museum with a castle facade thrown over it. The ramparts around it are extraordinary though - what actually existed there centuries ago must have been spectacular.

If you have a special interest in towers, then the best time to go is just before sunset, and watch day turn to night. There is no way you can do this with more than 1 place though. And if the weather stinks, you are totally up the creek - have a back up plan just in case.
