Pupuru wifi and offline Google Maps

Hi,

2 questions:
A: i noticed that several providers have different prices for pupuru wifi with softbanks. I check all the same, insurance the same and so on...still i see a big difference. How can that be that pupuru official website is so expensive ?

B: is not possible to use google maps offline in Japan ???

As you have noticed, there are several providers having different prices, depending on device models, 3 major careers (NTT Docomo, SoftBank, au), and other options (ex. insurance).

Although you might have noticed as well, there are no "PUPURU WiFi" plans through the industry. PUPURU is just one of providers.

You can say that their service is fundamentally the same because they only borrow bandwidths covered by the major careers.

I've never heard of that you cannot use Google MAP offline so far.
You might need some instruction by Google?

i found this website earlier and linked to pupuru i discovered that big difference in prices….so i thought there was a mistake or i did missed some information.

As i can see i can use domoco as we stay in Kyoto and some few other major cities.
So now it is to find a suplier, we want to pick it up at Kansai KIX and rent it forr 14 days.
you can advise us ?

Of course I can help you.

However, as I said, they are fundamentally the same.
Most of providers can deliver a pocket WiFi router to KIX and rent it for 14 days.

Plus, if you get around mostly for major cities and not have a plan to use much data (ex. playing game, watching movie), you do not have to use NTT DoCoMo. You may satisfy with coverage offered by au or SoftBank.

Based on my knowledge and experience, only I can recommend you are selecting a provider by credibility and reliability. Specifically, support system, availability of refund, and, flexiblity to trouble.

If you have a slightest concern on WiFi things, try making an inquiry for something to one of them, they quickly reply to you. That gives a certain level of reliability.

But again, ultimately, you'd better to compare them by yourself based on your importance.
