Visa card get money from ATM charge fee

if I use visa card and get money from ATM, will it charge non pound transaction fee every time.

Normally yes. Fee will depend on atm and your bank.

All transaction will charge to your local currency, if the transaction is made in Japan, it will be converted.

Take out as much as you can on the first day. So many places are cash-only, it'll go much faster than you expect.

if need charge fee, why people always talk about ATM nearby.
it will better bring a lot of money there instead of charge fee.

You pay fees to exchange your cash into JPY as well. There is no free lunch.

As what Firas said, there is no free lunch, It's available for people who needs it, and the fee isn't much considering you've paid so much for the trip. Why do people still use it if there is a charge on it, it's just the same as why using a credit card when the bank charge you to use it.

The ATM fee will probably be less than what a currency exchange will cost you, that's why.

Also, although Japan is very safe, you may want to only be carrying a few days worth of cash at a time, instead of cash for your entire trip.
