Shimanami Kaido - transportation

Hi!
We are planning on doing the Shimanami Kaido in September - one way in one day.
I was wondering, what's the latest we can arrive at Imabari and still be able to get a bus/ferry back to Onomichi *with our rental bikes*?

For bus timetable it seems that google maps is your best friend. However there is this page: http://onomichibus.jp/cycle-exp/ but it shows only direct buses which are few.

Your most convenient option will be to return the bicycle at the end of the ride and board the bus s without it.Depends not on where (shop) you rent the bicycle you can give it back in Imabari:
