Naturalization verification call 2018/6/25 14:58
I applied for naturalization almost one year ago (the official submission). After a long waiting period, I finally got a call from the ministry of justice asking me if I am planning to travel outside of Japan, leave job, or there is any change in my situation.
What does this call mean?
When will I get the call that tells my application for naturalization is approved?
Is it normal to get this call?
Should I keep checking the kanpou everyday?
I would appreciate any explanation related to this topic.
Thank you.

Why did you not ask when they called you?

The call from Homukyouku means your application is almost through. When did you attend the interview ?

I officially submitted my application almost 10 months ago.
After getting this call, how long usually applicants wait before seeing the names in the kanpou? Is it weeks or few other months?

I'm too stupid to use the kanpo I tried searching the keyword '帰化' on free kanpo search site and it doesn't show the list of people who got naturalized. May I ask how do you guys do it?

I am sorry for answering late. I have stopped checking this forum recently.
I was already successfully naturalized about 3 months ago. I am now legally a Japanese citizen.
As for the question about the Kanpou. Here is how to check:
This is the official website:
https://kanpou.npb.go.jp/index.html
In this page you will the following:
本日の官報
Below there is a date: today as example is shown as 平成 30年11月27日
Then, click on 本紙 (第####号)
After that, under 告示, there is a line that says
日本国に帰化を許可する件(法務三九四)
By clicking on that, you will see the first page, do not forget to check other pages, if your name is not the first.
Since you passed all the process, I know your Japanese must be fine to know the above.
If someone needs some help about naturalization, you can PM me.
I hope that helped.
