Tokyo to Nokogiriyama transport 2018/7/15 16:19
Hello,

I will be staying in Shiba Park area, near JR Hamamatsucho Station. I want to go to Nokogiriyama and Nihonji jinja, and am a little unsure of the best route.

It seems the choices are -

By train, travelling north from Tokyo around the bay, then south to Chiba, and another train or two to Nokogiriyama.

Or train/s to Kawasaki then take the Tokyo Wan ferry.

Is there a highway bus, that would be a good choice?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Google Maps knows.
Both and Highway bus plan (via Tokyo-wan Aqua Line) also possible.
If you do not take Limited express of JR, use "HyperDia".

(This "wan" means "bay".)

(note)
Nearset "JR" station name is "HamaKanaya", but ferry ports name are "Kurihama" to "Kanaya".
Ropeway station is not so far, around 10 min walk.

This video they starts from "Keikyu-Shinagawa" station and took Keikyu(railway) train,
but stop over at MiuraKaigan for watching "Sakura"(in Apr, Spring).
Then took Keikyu train again and arrive at "Keikyu-Kurihama".(JR station "Kurihama" also close)
From the station, they caught a taxi until Kurihama port, but local bus (Keikyu bus) enough.
The last scene is JR HamaKanaya station. (you can see by street view)

Thank you.
Naturally, I had already consulted Google maps and Hyperdia.

I mentioned that I will stay near JR Hamamatsucho Station. I have since found two very convenient options that depart from the nearby Haneda Airport and are not on Hyperdia or Google.

45 minutes using Keikyu high-speed bus from Haneda Airport Station to Kimitsu Station and 30 minutes using JR from Kimitsu Station to Hamakanaya Station.

Or, 35 minutes using Nitto Kotsu high-speed bus from Haneda Airport Station to Kisarazu Station and 40 minutes using JR from Kisarazu Station to Hamakanaya Station.
