Hello,
just wanted to post my 1 day plan, do you think is doable?
Arrive a t 9 45 AM kyoto from Tokyo and leave lugagge at lockers. After that go by bus to Kiyomizudera, then go walking to Chionin and after that Heian Shrine. Come back walking to Maruyama park and Yasaka shrine. Go from Yasaka to Kawaramachi by foot and walk around Pontocho and Nishiki market. Come back to station, I hope it will be around 6 PM or something and go to Osaka to check in the hostel

I think it is doable. Be prepared to bypass Heian Shrine if you begin to lose time. As it is kinda out of the way compared to the rest of your walking route.

Heian Shrine is good for the garden - it fits into a schedule that includes Nanzenji quite well. Yasaka and Maruyama maybe a little less well, but it is not far.
