Tottori Sand Museum

I was looking at the info about the Tottori Sand Museum which say the exhibits are there from April to Jan. If I go it'll be right at the beginning of April.
When they're not holding a big exhibit is there anything there? Or are they closed while they prepare the next exhibit? I can't find much info about it.
