Hi, I'll be travelling to Japan for 3 weeks, and I'm looking for a SIM card (data only is fine) for my OnePlus 5 and my boyfriend's Galaxy S9+. Finding information regarding the OnePlus compatibility is a bit more difficult obviously. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

If you are traveling together, you might just need a nano SIM for the S9+ and then use it as a hotspot to connect your OnePlus 5, and any tablets you have, via wi-fi. Your hotel will likely have free wi-fi in the room.

Just search for the supported band for example 2100Mhz Most recent mobiles works fine in Japan.
In the old days it was not always compatible but nowadays most phones (mid range or high range) can be used
