Viewing of Mt. Ogi Fire Festival (Beppu)

I'm planning to be in Beppu next April during the expected weekend of the onsen matsuri, and was wondering how exactly work the celebrations of the Fire Festival: if there is any spot in particular from where you can get a view of the mountain or a gathering for the starting of the fire, etc. Thank you for any tips if someone has already seen it!

The Ogi Fire Festival in 2019 is held on Tues. April 2 at 6:30pm. (Rain postponing, Thurs. Apr. 4)
There are pretty many view spots though, Yukemuri Tenboudai in Kannawa is one of the best places among them.
