Whether a rail pass is suitable or not depends also on your itinerary and timeline.
On the Hokuriku Shinkansen, the boundary between JR-East and JR-West is at Joetsumyoko Station.
Currently only a few passes of which both JR-East and JR-West are the issuers (e.g. Japan Rail Pass) are valid fully for Tokyo -- Joetsumyoko -- Kanazawa, and only one pass among the nine JR-West rail passes (= Kansai-Hokuriku area pass) is valid fully for Joetsumyoko -- Kanazawa.

"Non-Stop" to Kanazawa, no. Trains are designed to make many stops along the way. Do you mean "with out transfers", yes. Very easy.
