Cheapest or free way to file taxes in Japan? 2018/9/18 08:25
Hi there, I know that turbo tax doesn't mess with overseas tax filing. What's the cheapest, if not free way to file your federal/state/local income/capital gain tax in Japan?Cheapest way or free way to file federal/state/local 1040 taxes while living in Japan?

It might help if you put what country you are talking about - the assumption from your username is USA, but you don't say.

Have you called the US Embassy or one of the consulates? They are there to assist citizens living overseas.

Since you appear to be living in Japan on a shoe-string budget, based on all your topic questions, just download the forms and fill them out yourself. The forms are online at the IRS website.
