Stuck in Fukuoka - recommendations

My flight to Yakushima was canceled and I'm stuck in Fukuoka. Going to Yakushima next is no longer an option. I have 2 days before I need to be in Ibusuki after which I will hit Nagasaki and then Karatsu before flying out of Fukuoka. Any recommendations of what to do between Fukuoka and Ibusuki? I like hiking, temples, food, and onsens.

Thank you both. I just finished a 1/2 day visit to Dazaifu and am on my way to spend a couple of hours at Yoshinogari Historical Park (I hope).

Just 20 minutes by train from Hakata Station in Fukuoka is the Nanzoin Temple - one of Japan's very best yet nearly unknown to most. Very worthwhile. https://youtu.be/lT4VQFmHFyMKumamoto has a number of good places, especially around Mt Aso. If you rent a car, there are many more great places besides the volcano - Kikuchi Gorge, the Daikanbo Lookout, Nabegadaki Falls, the Yamabuki Suigen springhead, and many more. On your way to Nagasaki, don't miss the chance to stop by the Yutoku Inari Shrine - it really is one of the jewels of the island - and almost always uncrowded. https://youtu.be/2UU_1Aip_l4
