How does someone become a police officer? 2018/10/31 09:15
Just interested to know the process of becoming a police officer in Japan. Not as a foreigner, as someone born and raised there.

What are the compulsory requirements? Do they have to complete highschool and undergo a degree at university? How many years of education do they study until theyre able to go out in the field?

Is there a separate police academy as well where they have to study at after university or can they go straight into the academy after high school (or middle)?

I just want to know the step-by-step process a japanese studsnt would take if thwy wanted to become an officer and what the different routes/paths they can take are.

Thank you!
