Kurobe Alpine: Murodo?

Hi folks,
We are planning to see the snow corridor in Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine around 19 or 20 May next year (finally after so many years of waiting). We are wondering:
1. Is it better to do the alpine route from Tateyama, or from the opposite direction (ie. Ogizawa/Kurobe Dam)?
2. We are deciding whether we should do hiking in Midagahara marshland (half way between Tateyama and Murodo) vs. hiking in Oze Marshland (near Nikko)?
3. During late May, will the hiking trail around Hotel Tateyama and towards Mt Tateyama peak opened, or will they be snowed under?
4. We are struggling to find an accommodation within our budget in Murodo, and wondering if the hiking trails are worth staying overnight?
5. We saw Japan Guidefs video shot in June/July at Murodo and loved the scenery there, but unsure if the bus schedule from Murodo to Kurobe Dam would give us enough time and energy to do the 1-2 hr hiking trails around Hotel Tateyama after lunch, and still enough time and daylight to reach the Kurobe Dam on time?
