Omikuji English Translation 2018/11/25 22:02
Hi! I recently visited two shrines in Tokyo (Meiji Jingū) and I bought an Omikuji. Unfortunately, I canft read Japanese and Ifm really curious. So I was wondering if someone could kindly translate for me?

This Omikuji doesn't seem to "tell your fortune" as most do, but gives you a hint on how to live life. The front is written in old Japanese, and the back is an explanation of it.

Here's a rough translation of the back:
Water will take the form of whatever you put it in, be it a round bowl or a square platter. But at the same time, it has the strength to pierce through solid boulders. Water helps all, grows all, yet says none and flows to where it will flow. 70% of our bodies are comprised of water. Water grows everything, yet it exists quietly in indifference. Water is yielding, yet has the strength to bend the strong. People can learn many things from water.
