How to access Zao Ropeway?

Dear sir.
I want to travel to Mount Zao on 3rd January 2019 . As I know the bus from Yamagata Station - Zao Onsen will not operate on that day. Please give me other choice for accessing Zao Onsen on that day.

Unsure if you are staying the night at Zao Onsen. If you are, check with the hotel of a possibility of free shuttle bus from Yamagata station.
