NEX using Hokuriku Pass

Ifm traveling with my family to Japan using Hokuriku Arch Pass on Feb. I will arrive at Kansai Airport and depart at Narita Airport. Assuming I already got Hokuriku Arch pass at Kansai Airport, Ifm a bit confused with NEX since the website says the pass only covers limited area for NEX. 1. Can I take NEX from Tokyo station to Narita Airport with the pass? 2. Do I need to buy additional ticket for seat reservation or the pass is good enough? 3. Where should I buy the seat reservation ticket, if itfs needed?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Yes, the pass covers any Narita Express trips to/from major stations in Tokyo to Narita Airport. My guess on why they say "limited to Area", is because the Narita Express goes outside Tokyo as well (Yokohama, Ofuna, Takao, Omiya, etc). So it would likely not cover a trip from Yokohama, but it would from Tokyo or Shinjuku stations.
You will need a reserved ticket. You can get one at any of the JR Travel centers. You can just get it at the station on your way to the airport, as they are rarely full.
Will you be staying in Tokyo before you depart, or just passing through on your way to Narita? if it is the latter, then Tokyo Station is probably the best transfer point.

Make sure you are going to get value from this pass as you are only travelling one-way. It is an expensive pass with comparatively quite limited coverage IMO. The national pass is only 5,000 yen more, and the one-way trip Kansai to Narita via Kanazawa is around the same price as the pass. 23,000 yen if you do it as a single trip.

Close. Actually it covers central Tokyo, i.e., the 23 wards. Note that Takao is in Tokyo, but not in the 23 wards.

@TW - Thanx for the info. Ifm staying close to Ueno station. I believe I need to take JR train from Ueno stn to Tokyo stn and then switch to NEX from there. I hope I donft get lost in Tokyo station. Lol
@JapanCustomTrip. Thanx for your advice. I have done some calculation and the total price with additional tickets I need to buy is almost similar. The plus point about Hokuriku Pass is that it makes things more convinent for me.

If you are staying in Ueno, then the very fastest way is the Skyliner from Keisei Ueno. But it is not covered by JR pass. It's very fast and direct (40 minutes) and costs less than 2500y.
If you want to use the N'EX with your pass, then ride the Yamanote line train from Ueno to Tokyo (10 minute ride), stop at the JR travel center for your N'eX tickets, and then head down several levels to the N'EX platform. It takes about an hour to get to the Airport from Tokyo station. Tokyo station is massive and maze-like, so make sure to study the station maps before arriving. I would leave a bit of extra time as you might get lost temporarily in Tokyo Station. I can't stress how huge it is. It feels larger than many airports.

Yes, Tokyo Station is big, but I found it very easy to get around the station itself due to the abundance of signage. OP, as long as you keep eyes up and look for signs directing you to the N'EX once you arrive from Ueno, you won't have an issue. You'll already be in the JR section, making it easier.
The part of Tokyo Station I did struggle with was how to get to the shopping areas - I kept coming up against ticket gates!

Can also get the N'EX tickets at Ueno, or indeed any JR station within the pass's validity area.

As you have noticed, the website of Hokuriku Arch Pass have some incomplete descpritions. http://hokuriku-arch-pass.com/en/This pass is valid for Narita Express routes which are inside its usage area. In the map of the usage area, you see the section Tokyo -- Narita Airport (Terminal 1). Airport Terminal 2 Station is on this route. My guess on why they say "limited to Area", is because the Narita Express goes outside Tokyo as well (Yokohama, Ofuna, Takao, Omiya, etc). This pass covers the Narita Express route via Shinjuku to/from Omiya Station, which is outside Tokyo (in Saitama Prefecture); this route is inside the usage area, but is not clearly indicated in the map. Narita International Airport [NRT] is outside Tokyo in Chiba Prefecture, so are the stations in its Terminals 1 and 2. Actually it covers central Tokyo, i.e., the 23 wards. That is about the coverage of this pass in Tokyo, which is limited to the zone which JR East calls as Tokyo Metropolitan Distirict, i.e. so-called "Tokunai" (Japanese; literally: inside Tokyo ward cities) zone.
