About spouse visa to PR

I have been married for 4 years and living in japan now for 2 years
I pay taxes/ healthcare and Have had the same job since I started living here.
I will get a 3 year visa here shortly hopefully
How long after getting my 3 year visa can I apply for PR? most places I look says I just have to have atleast a 3 year to apply. Never saying any specific length of time after getting 3 year to wait and apply
also, I see some places that they have income requirements but on some places it does not say that at all
If so, what are the income requirements? and any others I might need to know
I've looked lots of places and talked to people but the information is always different
any help would be appreciated!

That is not surprising, because the criteria for PR are not set in law so it's basically up to the judgement of the immigration official who handles your case.

Here are the requirements in your case: -married for 3 years -spent at least 1 year in Japan under marriage visa -must apply when you have 3 years visa You cannot apply if you donft have them.

Once you receive the 3 year visa, you can apply for PR anytime during it. But most people wait until the beginning of their 3rd year to apply, which gives them a year before their status expires and they would have to reapply for the spouse "visa". So you'd pretty much receive PR when you'd be renewing anyway.
As for income requirements, or other necessary paperwork, you will want to call or visit directly to your local immigration office in order to get a list of the necessary documents. A friend and I applied for PR around the same time but at two different offices, and the paperwork we were asked to bring in was a little different.

They say allow for one year for processing/review for PR status, so yes we applied around the end of the next-to-last year of the gspouseh status. Immigration authorities have the criteria that you need to be gself-sufficienth in terms of supporting your family financially on a stable basis, but they donft disclose any exact numbers. The guidelines seems to be 3 million yen per year. Obviously the amount they require in reviewing your case would be higher if you have many dependents (children in addition to your spouse).
