Roasted seaweeds that smells rancid 2019/1/14 15:54
if the roasted seaweeds smell rancid, can it still be edible? Is there a remedy to remove the rancid smell?

“Rancid” simply doesn’t sound good… is it the dry ones that have been cut into small pieces and roasted (and possibly flavored) for snack? Sometimes they use sesame oil on it for flavoring, which can simply get old. Or are you talking about simply roasted big sheets of seaweed? Check the package to see when it was made.

Yeah, I agree - the sesame oil is the likely culprit and that does go rancid. I wouldnt eat it if it smells bad.
