Noh and kyogen activity

Hi, Been interested in seeing a noh and kyogen performance in Japan but I heard the performances are day long, like 6-8 hours. Maybe that is not true, not sure. But how easy is it to obtain tickets for performances as a foreigner?
Are there performances that are maybe 2-3 hours at most, as I have trouble sitting too long.
What are the usual cost for a regular ticket?
Are there theaters in the Tokyo or Osaka area?

We (a Japanese and a non-Japanese, living in Tokyo) regularly go watch "kyogen" performances several times a year. 3to 4 of "kyogen" titles take up 3 hours or so. But as far as we know, there is no English explanation. We read the plot beforehand - they are mostly comical in nature and depict timeless topics. We have not tried "noh" yet - I am afraid that the slow movements might put me to sleep lol. For the "kyogen" only performances, the tickets cost somewhere from 4,000 yen or so, up to 7,000 or 10,000 yen depending on the venue.

I tried to watch Noh several times, I resisted sleepiness seriously.
Once I fell in a sleep five minutes after a beginning of Noh, and I woke up to hear the applause of the end.
I think that I should know the stories beforehand.
