Closing account of JP Bank?

Hi, I am an international student and I have opened my bank account of Japan Post Bank at akita prefecture. Presently I am at Tokyo after completing my studies. So is it possible to close my account here at Tokyo or do i need to go to akita? Pls help. Thanks!
