Luggage allows on bus in Kobe?

Hi,

I was checking up Google Map to get from Hotel Crown Palais Kobe to Shin Kobe station.

It shows me to board "22 系統桜森町バスセンター行" from Mosaic Zen Bus Stop to Shinkobe Eki.

May I know is huge luggage allows to travel on this bus?

Does anyone know the schedule for this bus from Mosaic Zen Bus Stop to Shinkobe Eki and the returning schedule.

This is not route 22, but the same, one of regular type as local, city, town bus.

Thank you NAL for the picture and layout of the bus... it looks spacious.

Only concern is whether the bus driver allows big luggage on board.

Has anyone travel with big luggage on such city bus? Could you share if you are allow on board.

I am a Japanese and never have seen big suitcase on a city bus. But as far as I searched, some bus companies do not have any policy about the luggage on the bus, so you might be allowed to bring big luggage. On the other hand, some bus companies have written rule, such as maximum 10 kg, 100 cm (three dimension). Even if there is no explicit rule, you might have trouble with the big luggage.

You might better take train/subway: JR Kobe to JR Sannomiya and then subway to Shin-Kobe. There are many tourists with big luggage on trains.

Exactly some local line bus companies mentioned luggage limitations at own web.
But this bus is no problem, just "dangerous" or "insane" items are not as common sense,
bc no trunk space like ExpressWay bus.

Luggage limitations basics :
- Dangerous goods, such as wepons, extinguishants, unusual odors, corrosive substances etc.
- Super large baggage that may block passengers doors including emergency exit.
(eg uncoverd bicycle, long ski/snowboard, long surfboard, etc.)
- With animals/pet, except guide dog for blind and by using carry case only for small animals.

There are no strange regulations like only in Japan.

Well noted what both of you have shared... I will take frog1954 advice to better take train/subway: JR Kobe to JR Sannomiya and then subway to Shin-Kobe.

I was thinking to travel with lesser transfer but direct one bus journey to Shin Kobe actually.

I am not a resident of Kobe so I don't know the situation of the bus there. So I recommend you to ask the hotel staff if it is OK to bring big suitcase on the bus. If the bus is rather vacant then you will be fine, but if the bus is very crowded, you will have trouble.
