Hi, Japan Guide, after reading many posts, I still could not find the answer. I am confuse the transfer time indicating in the Hyperdia. I am going to Hakata from Odashi. One of the transfer time (route 1) at Yamaguchi Station is a minute (2044 and 2045). Similarly to other train, from Izumo Taishamae to Yasugi (route 1), the transfer time in Kawato is also a minute (625 and 626). I am not sure whether or not I have to remain in the train or to transfer. I have read that only two arrow symbols indicate remaining on the same train/track. Please helps, Thank you very much. Route 1 http://www.hyperdia.com/cgi/en/search.html?dep_node=ODASHI&arv_node=HA...Route 2 http://www.hyperdia.com/cgi/en/search.html?dep_node=IZUMOTAISHAMAE&arv...

I had a look at both those stations. They are island platforms. To I'd guess you just exit one train and enter the awaiting train on the opposite side.
