Bringing large quantities of OTC drugs? 2019/2/24 06:35
Hi, I'll be staying in Tokyo for several months, coming from the US, and wanted to bring a bunch of over-the-counter supplements like melatonin, vitamins, joint supplement, CoQ10, etc. I read somewhere that only a two month's supply of OTC medications/vitamins are allowed. Is this for each drug? I was planning on bringing 1-2 big bottles of each supplement. Thanks!

You can bring more if you get advance permission (yakkan shounmei). https://www.mhlw.go.jp/english/policy/health-medical/pharmaceuticals/0...

Or you could just bring a small quantity and buy the rest here at any medical supplies store, or at a COSTCO if you have that membership or know someone, though the cost would be more.
