Obon in Hokkaido

Hi,
Need some opinion on travelling in hokkaido which overlaps with the Japan Obon public holidays.
Should I expect lesser or increased crowds during Obon 13-15 August at sightseeing sites/attractions? I'm wondering if there might be lesser domestic travellers at those places if they're travelling back for Obon.

August and February are the most busiest months in Hokkaido. I recommend you come in September if you want to avoid the crowd.
