Sunrise Izumo/Seto price

Hi,

Can I check what's the price for Sunrise Izumo/Seto withour JR pass

It depends on the type of compartment and on your departure and arrival stations.

It is around 14,000-16,000 yen one way by nobinobi compartment. Other types of compartments cost an additional 7,000 to 13,000 yen.

But from the first reply the price of the nobi nobi seat tickets is about 12000 - 15000?

There is no price chart. Since there are about four different compartments and about fourteen different stops the train make. It would be a large chart.

You could try hyperdia. And the just change the seat type to reflect the compartment of choice.

The JPY 3,760 in the linked page refers to the seat reservation fee and express surcharge, which you must pay on top of the JPY 11,990 base fare (assuming you travel all the way to Izumo-shi on the Sunrise Izumo). So the initial estimate of JPY 15,000+ is correct.

My previous post also assumes that you're travelling in a non-private "nobi nobi" berth, the cheapest (and perhaps least comfortable) accommodation on board. The price goes all the way up to JPY 28,960 for the Single Deluxe, the best type of room on the train, which includes the base fare of JPY 11,990 plus the express and accommodation surcharge of JPY 16,970.

As hakata14 correctly suggests, try doing a route search on HyperDia and play around with the room type to generate a more precise price estimate.
