Cherry Blossom Season to Kawaguchi

Hi,
Will visiting Tokyo for the Cherry blossom season in March. Would like to experience taking local train (FUJIKYU RAILWAY) from Otsuki Station to Lake Kawaguchi . Do I need to book a reservation or just buy the ticket on the day itself.
