Kyoto to Kanazawa online train reservation?

Hi everyone, I will be travelling from kyoto to kanazawa on the 20th April. Just wondering if I am able to use my Japan Wide Pass for this train ride ( JR Thunderbird). Also, am i able to reserve seat online for this train ride, just like the JR East seat reservation website. The JR west website here > http://www.westjr.co.jp/global/en/ticket/overview/but doesn't state that i can reserve seat without charge using my JR pass..unlike reserving seat on the JR East website.

Yes the Thunderbird ltd exp is covered by the JRP.
No you cannot book online using a JRP.

When you say "Wide" pass, do you mean Tokyo Wide or Kansai Wide? Neither covers travel to Kanazawa. If you are talking about the nationwide pass, that's just the "JR Pass".
No bookings are currently available outside of Japan for Kyoto to Kanazawa using a JR Pass. You can purchase a ticket using the SmartEx app if you are from an eligible country.
