Hi,
I need some advice on whether I should buy the HEP or not. I tried using the NavTime but I'm not sure if my calculation of the tolls are correct.
This is what I have planned:
22/7 - Sapporo - Lake Akan
23/7 - Lake Akan - Rausu
24/7 - Rausu -Abashiri - Sounkyo Onsen
25/7 - Asakahikawa
26/7 - Asakahikawa
27/7 - Asakahikwa - Biei - Furano
28/7 - Furano - Lake Toya - Noboribetsu
29/7 - Noboribetsu - Otaru
30/7 - Otaru
31/7 - Otaru - Hakodate
1/8 - Hakodate
2/8 - Catch train to Sendai
Any suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks!

I checked the fare for today (Sunday) with Navitime. Note that this includes holiday discount for ETC card. 22/7 - Sapporo - Lake Akan 4130 yen 28/7 - Furano - Lake Toya - Noboribetsu 3270+990 yen 29/7 - Noboribetsu - Otaru 2670 yen 31/7 - Otaru - Hakodate 1870 yen Total 12930 yen. The actual fare will be more expensive because there should be no holiday discount. I did a similar trip 2 years ago for 21 days, visiting places you are visiting and more, without going thru toll roads. The national roads are mostly great, probably the speed limit would be an issue if you are short of time.

@... Unfortunately I don't have much time to spare so I need to use Expressway for those long drives.
