Best of Shikoku Region 2019/4/6 21:17
We intend to travel around Shikoku Region and would like to know which JR Pass covered those area.

Please enlighten the following routes:

1] Osaka to Naoshima via Okayama;
2] Naoshima to Takamatsu;
3] Takamatsu to Naruto;
4] Naruto to Kotohira;
5] Kotohira to Matsuyama;
6] Matsuyama to osaka

Thank you.

The All Shikoku Rail Pass covers everything except the trips between Osaka and Shikoku:

Highway buses connect Takamatsu (or Naruto) with Osaka relatively inexpensively:

The Japan Rail Pass would cover everything, but I am not sure whether it would pay off:

How many days are you planning to spend in Shikoku?

I bought a 5-day Shikoku Pass (they did not offer a 7-day option back then) and thought that should be enough to see the Shikoku. Wrong!

Shikoku is big, and their trains are slow (no Shinkansen) and run infrequently. I recommend at least 7 days to see all of Shikoku, or concentrate on one side of Shikoku.

Thanks Uji,

Will it be better off if we rent a car and drive around Shikoku Region rather than depends on the JR Pass.

Thank you.
