Needless to say, hotels commonly keep luggage for their guests for free.

Pack lighter.
-OR-
Use a luggage delivery service. They can store up to seven days.

At Tokyo station there is a long term storage available up to 15 days: http://www.tokyostationcity.com/en/information/locker.htmlI have never used it, but I think my husband did and he reserved it upfront. Alternatively you could send your bag already with Yamato Kuroneko or similar to your departure airport if itfs not more than 7 days. Enjoy your trip to Japan!
