Amount of Bank balance for COE

I was Just accepted to Ritsumeikan University and the school requested me to send necessary documents for applying COE on behalf of me. While I was preparing documents for COE, I had some uncertainty about bank balance for COE. On internet, people say I should have at least 2,000,000 yen to 4,000,000 yen, while in the "Planning form for payment" provided by the school, it says the amount of money should be equal or exceed Total expenses for 1 year. So I planned to spend about 1,600,000 yen (Tuition is low due to the tuition reduction) and my father put exact 1,700,000 yen on his bank account. Is amount of money (1,700,000 yen) enough for me to get COE document or it is going be rejected since it is less than 2,000,000 yen? Thank you!
