Traveling while wearing a cast 2019/4/26 21:05
Hi Guys and Gals,

My friends and I are traveling to Fukuoka this May

Unfortunately one of us got involved in an accident and is now wearing a cast on his right arm.

My worry is that he maybe denied entry by the Immigration Officer at Fukuoka Airport because of the cast on his right arm.

Is there anything needed on instances like this? Like a Medical Certificate issued by a doctor or any special pass we need to apply for?

Hoping for advise

There is no issue entering Japan (or any country I know) with a cast.
Your friend may get extra screening when boarding a plane leaving your country.

Broken arms arenft dangerous, infectious diseases, so no problem to enter Japan or anywhere else.

Wishing your friend a quick recovery!

Your biggest worry will be helping your friend with their luggage.

As such - if this is your biggest problem then customs should be a reasonable breeze. In general, I find they only check your luggage on the way through. And for that - I can count on one hand after flying through a Japanese airport probably more than 40 times.
