Penalty for late registration of marriage

Been married 5months ago with a Japanese outside japan. But until now our marriage is not yet been registered in Japan.

Is there a penalty for late registration of marriage in japan?

What are the process to register marriage in japan?
Will I pay more extra for my penalty?because of late registration?

Late reporting (by my experience) cost me a fine of 2,000yen. But the reporting and registration went smooth.

Your Japanese partner (male or female?)
should pay a non-penal fine for the too-late notification,
which never makes a criminal fee.

Can your partner have a marriage certificate
(specifying the nationality and the date of birth each of the two)
issued by that foreign country or state?

Is your partner aware
what municipality manages his/her family register [koseki]?

Do you live in Japan?
If so,
are you and your partner registered as residents to the same municipality?

My husband is a Japanese.
And yes, we have our marriage certificate from my country (outside) Japan.

He knew that we need to register our marriage to the city hall but, we try that unfortunately the city official ask a copy of his kosekitohon again.

So that my husband thought that we need to go to Kyoto again for a copy of his kosekitohon.


But now I knew that we can request a copy of his kosekitohon via mail.

You need to get your husband to ask ghish city/ward hall for the exact details.
And as I said, he can gmoveh the location of his gkosekih so to say (ghonseki-chih).
