How to get to Osaka Station?

It is one station by JR. Trains depart every few minutes from platforms 7 and 8.

Please note that you do not pass through any Shinkansen gate.
Osaka Station is outside the Shinkansen network.
Shin-Osaka Station of JR has two East gates located close to each other,
which are for the conventional (= non-Shinkansen) lines;
one of the two gates is for exiting only.
The South gate and the Central gate are for the Shinkansen lines;
you see sings saying like "Shinkansen tracks" in front of the gates.
The above four gates are on the 3rd floor, along the same passenger walkway.
Where will you go after Osaka Station?
Or, maybe you will meet someone in or around the station building?
