You can use PASMO in both area,
but you can not do only these two in other card area.
- Card return, refund deposit and charge(SF/stored fare).
- Reissue due to card lost or damage.

The method of charge and e-money for shopping mainly is the same, just card area change.

- TOICA (JR-Central)
- manaca (Meitetsu and more, not only for railway)

Kyoto and Osaka:
- ICOCA (JR-West)
- PiTaPa (non JR group, rail and bus companies)

In fact, it can be used in a few more card areas,
but the range is narrow so you don't have to remember them all.
The direction of the arrow written above the figure is important.

Also, this is a special case, but it can not be used beyond the area of the card.
However, PiTaPa area covered fr Kintetsu-Nagoya stn,
Nagoya is not Kyoto and Osaka area, but it can be used only for taking Kintetsu line,
other side near shinkansen track route is invaild, bc it will be over the card area.
