Buses from Yamagata to Ginzan Onsen

Hello, we are planning to visit Ginzan Onsen the last week of September. We will be staying at a hotel in Yamagata. Does the bus from Yamagata to Ginzan Onsen runs frequently till late at night or is it better for us to stay at a ryokan in Ginzan Onsen rather than missing the bus back to Yamagata . Is September a low season for Ginzan Onsen. Thank you

Ginzan onsen is beautiful at night. Most , if not all staying guests would be wearing yukata and strolling on the "main street". I highly recommend the experience. It is not to be missed, only in Japan!

Take a train from Yamagata Station to Ooishida Station. Please refer to here for the bus timetable. (Japanese) http://www.hanagasa-bus-taisei.co.jp/base.htmlI tell you the slowest bus time. From Ooishida 17:45 To Ginzan Onsen 18: 21 From Ginzan hot spring 18: 21 To Oishida 18: 51 If you can make a reservation, you should stay at Ginzan Onsen.
