We would like to leave some bags for a week before hiking in the Alps. Is it possible in Itoigawa station or any place in Itoigawa?

Yes, Itoigawa Station has coin lockers.Most coin lockers in Japan is for short time, usually 3 days (2 nights). I am not sure about the coin lockers in Itoigawa, but even if it accepts for 1 week, it should be rather expensive.
