Expecting mail at address but no room number

While at home and right before departing I shipped myself a package to my sharehouse residence (a single building with many rooms/apartments). The address has my name and the address of the house but not the specific room number. After talking to my housemates I don't have any answers as to what may happen to the package. Will it arrive? Will I receive a paper slip? Should I go to the post office? Please help! :)
