Will my hair straightener work in Japan? 2019/7/23 22:00
Hi there , I am planning to bring my dual voltage hair straightener (110V - 240V) to Fukuoka , Japan which uses 100V , and was wondering if it will still work just as well (heat up as much) with just just a socket adapter ?

This is quite an urgent question and would really appreciate a speedy reply from someone !! thank you !!

A quick google check would give you some answers.

Japan 100V 50hz (Fukuoka)

Just check the frequency 50hz. 60hz or both

And the plug to insert to the wall power socket.

if it is dual voltage, most likely it is dual frenquency. i haven't seen otherwise.

I think Fukuoka is in 60 Hz area.
