Hotel Kazurabashi tattoo question 2019/7/24 20:27
hello,

is it possible to use the onsen baths, with tattoo on shoulder, at hotel kazurabashi when staying there?
what about the great open air bath in kusatsu onsen?
do you have any tipps for cover up or hide tattoos in onsen?

thanks

Most popular temporary solution will be to cover it up with skin tone waterproof bandage.
Depending on the sizes, bandage may or may not work.
Some may getaway being discreet with just coverup the piece with the small towel.

Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities, unless you cover the tattoo.

According to the hotel's official website, you can ask for a onsen bathroom you can use all by yourselves for 2160 yen per 40 minutes. You can book at the reception on the day of usage. Since there will be no one else, tattoos won't be an issue.

As for the open air bath, it doesn't say on the website, so you just have to ask if you need to know in advance.

I don't see any email addresses, but have you tried fax, facebook message or Instagram? See the bottom of the page in the link.

When dialing from overseas, add Japan's country code 81 on the top and delete a zero. So their fax number would be 81-883-87-2175, and then add whatever number you need to add at the top in order to dial from your line.
