Feedback on Three-Star Route and beyond

Hi everyone

After some very helpful advice received from @rkold and others, and further research, I have fine-tuned our itinerary from 8/Jan 8 - 30/Jan 2019 and would welcome feedback on whether the plan is well-paced (we are 2 adults travelling with 2 children aged 11 and 9) and whether it makes best use of the rail/bus passes (I plan to purchase the JR East Nagano Niigata Pass, the Three-Star Route Ticket and possibly even the optional add-on ticket between Gokayama and Ogimachi).

Shiga Kogen (8 nights) --> Nagano (1 night) --> Kanazawa (1 night) --> Shirakawago (day only) --> Gokayama ( 1 night) --> Takayama (2 nights) --> Hirayu Onsen (2 nights) --> Matsumoto (1 night) --> Kiso Valley (1 night) --> Kawaguchi (1 night) --> Hakone (2 nights) --> Tokyo (2 nights)
