Getting from Shinsaibasi to Rinku Town to KIX 2019/8/14 17:11
Having been kindly advised to use the ICOCA & HARUKA set to get from KIX to Kyoto, I don't suppose we can use a return ticket from Shinsaibaishi to Rinku Town to KIX? Or do we take the Midosuji Line to Namba then change to Rinku Town Station-- 49min :\940? The 2 of us plan to check out of Shinsaibashi about 9am and head for Rinkutown, with our 2 mid size baggage and all. Store bags at the station before we go shopping. I saw there's a shuttle service to KIX departing from the outlet that we can take. Our flight out from KIX is 7.30pm. Thank you.

Correct, HARUKA only can purchase once, either one-way or round trip.

You are right on the changing of train at Namba but note that Midosuji Line to Nankai Line there is some walking dist, with the luggages i think it will at least 10 mins.

Link for the shuttle between Rinku and KIX, departs every 30 mins, 200yen.

you can go to KIX directly and leave your luggage in coin lockers, and go back to Rinku town with no luggage.

Thanks all, especially the note on the walk at Namba. So found this route which seems better: Shinsaibashi to Tennoji Station to Rinkutown. Saw that the outlet itself has many coin lockers. Otherwise, the info office also can store the luggage. I think this saves time than store in KIX. Still, thanks for the idea.

I may think of transferring at Taisho station, instead. Taisho is smaller than Tennoji. It is likely easier to transfer with luggage at a smaller station.

It would also depend on your access to Shinsaibashi station.

Here are figures at all the station.

Thanks for all the links, Luisjp! We will stay at Hotel Felice so Exit 4A with lift should work for us. And Taisho Station does look easier. From Metro level take the lift down to JR platform. This looks pretty easy with the 8 minute transfer time. Thanks again!

Your finding of a transfer at Tennoji looks better at least for Hotel Felice.

The combination of two lifts to Midosuji Line is excellent. Take the lift in Daimaru Department Store (near the 4-A stair), go into South-North Gate, and take another lift (near the escalator D) down to the platform for Midosuji Line (red).

Arriving at Tennoji, another good combination of two lifts are waiting. You need to go out from East Gate there. The lift from the platform is near the stair A and the next lift to the ground is Lift 2-B.

You are now at East Exit for JR Tennouji. Go into East Gate there and your JR train should leave from one of the platforms at one level down. You can use a lift to go down there.

I should admit the approach to Nagahori Line at Shinsaibashi would be harder. Moreover, there is no good lift to JR line at Tasho station. There is a lift from the metro platform to the metro gate level and there are two lifts from the JR gate level to JR platform. From the metro gate level to the JR gate level, there is an elevator at a good location, but a lift is far away from there.

Besides, I also checked Nagahoribashi metro station. But I could not find any good approaches to Sakaisuji Line.

Rinku Premium Outlets is not directly connected to the Riku Town train station. It is a bit far and you need to walk through Rinku Pleasure Town SEACLE.

It seems there are some coin lockers at the train station (at 2F) and SEACLE (at 1F, see their floor guide above).

Thank you, Luisjp, for the details and check. Much much appreciated :-) Looks like via Tennoji is better then. Well-noted!
