What is worth visiting?

Hi,
I am going to Japan this September and I have already planned most of my trip: Tokyo from the 11th to the 15th, Kyoto and Nara from the 16th to the 19th... and then I have to catch a plane in Hiroshima the 23rd so I was thinking of spending the 22nd in the city. I have an empty spot for the 20th-21st September and I'm not sure what is worth visiting during these days (I have bought a JR Pass for these dates so I have no problem travelling).
Could you please suggest me some nice spots? Thank you so much for the tips!

The Chugoku Region is crammed full of sights. https://goo.gl/V6K1jxIt's all up to your interests. You could see Onomichi, Okayama, Takamatsu, or even go over to the Sanin side and see Matsue and Tottori. Or by bullet train you could easily cruise into Kyushu and see Fukuoka, Kumamoto, or even Nagasaki. https://goo.gl/Q843BgIf you don't want to go far, you don't have to either. There is Sandankyo Gorge just 75 minutes by bus from Hiroshima Stn. http://visithiroshima.net/plan_your_trip/tour_plans/sandankyo.htmlThere is also the Sera Kogen Farm and your timing is perfect for the beautiful dahlia season. https://sera.ne.jp/en/dahlia/ Himeji is another option if you haven't seen it. https://goo.gl/65ZtRiThere's no shortage of places - you just have to find what you want.

Okayama/Kurashiki, Takamatsu and a trip across to Naoshima, Hiroshima and Miyajima and down to Iwakuni.
Heaps of places.
Some people even visit Himeji. They have a castle.
