Need help to identify a vase

Hello, I came across this vase while doing some construction on my house. It has been buried in the floor boards for over 18 year. It's quite small, about 6-7 inches tall. Beautifully hand painted with a Samurai among other things. It has Japanese writing on the bottom along with in English "hand painted foreign".
Can anyone help me out?
