I've only used this website once (Nyuto Onsen), but https://www.japaneseguesthouses.com/ tends to allow for this type of thing. Do note that their places tend to be a bit more pricey but they do tend to give more personalized service than booking.com or such.

On a positive note - Muslim travel is really starting to become more common in Japan and there are quite a few forums (as mentioned above) and tourist associations which are really promoting this. I've even seen a place which even mentioned if restaurants were owned by a muslim person through a city tourist association website.

Also note that many much more traditional ryokans (which are older) tend to have shared bathrooms so this is something to note (gender segregated)

Hi!

It might be fully booked, or it might just have not opened up booking for that time period. Many hotels and ryokan in Japan don't offer booking more than 6 months out and April is more than 6 months from now. Some hotels do offer booking further out, it just really varies. :/ I have personally run up against this issue though.

Good luck!
