Nikko - autumn photo, Nara vs Hiroshima

I am travelling to Japan during Nov end for a 10 days trip mainly for autumn photography. Will be stationed at Tokyo & Osaka. Is it worth visiting Nikko (daytrip from Tokyo) during last week of Nov; will the autumn colours still last during that time? OR else any other suggestion for autumn photography (already covering Hakone/Fuji five lakes region, Kamakura, Osaka & Kyoto). Also could you please suggest which daytrip is better from Osaka – Nara or Hiroshima? Thanks in advance!

If you are going at the end of November you will potentially be too late for Fuji 5 Lakes (sounds like a boy band) autumn colours which were browning off at the end of October last year when we were there. Nara is usually browning off by the end of November, mainly red and brown by then. Uji seems to hold on a little longer than Nara or Kyoto in my limited experience, but there isnt that much colour about.
I would swap Fuji 5 Lakes for the Izu peninsula, in particular Shuzenji should offer plenty of opportunity as it is very pretty.

Autumn season is forecast to be late this year by 10-days to two weeks, so 5-lakes and Nikko may not be too late.

"Is it worth visiting Nikko (daytrip from Tokyo) during last week of Nov; will the autumn colours still last during that time?" No. Last week of November would be too late to see autumn colours in Nikko and Oku Nikko, even if there is delay this year. Please refer to the previous autumn reports of Nikko in this site, it would give you a fair idea. "Also could you please suggest which daytrip is better from Osaka – Nara or Hiroshima?" Both Nara and Hiroshima would ideally require more than a day's time to explore, because there is so much to see in both places. But one thing is, the travel time to Nara (from Osaka) is very short when compared to Hiroshima. You can refer below links and decide for yourselves. https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2160.htmlhttps://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2165.html
